पुष्कर झील :-
- पुष्कर झील अजमेर से 11 किमी की दुरी पर उत्तर-पश्चिम मे अजमेर-नागौर मार्ग पर भारत मे सबसे पवित्र माने जाने वाली झील है।
- झील के किनारे कुल 52 घाट बने हुए है जिसमे सबसे बडा महात्मा गाँधी घाट है जिसे गौघाट के नाम से भी जाना जाता है।
- ब्रह्माघाट एंव वराहघाट भी महत्वपुर्ण है इन घाटो का निर्माण 944 ईस्वी मे मंण्डोर के शासक नाहरराव परिहार ने करवाया था
- गौघाट का पुननिर्माण मराठा सरदारो ने 1809 ईस्वी मे करवाया ऐसा कहा जाता है कि सिक्खो के दसवें गुरू गोंविंदसिंह ने 1705 ईस्वी मे गुरू ग्रंथ साहिब का पाठ किया था।
- वर्ष 1911 ईस्वी मे इग्लैंड की महारानी मेरी की यात्रा की याद मे पुष्कर के किनारे क्वीन मेरी जनाना घाट बनवाया गया।
- पद्य पुराण के अनुसार पुष्कर सरोवर का निर्माण प्रजापिता बहा्र द्वारा करवाया गया था।
- झील के किनारे ब्रह्मा जी का भारत मे एकमात्र प्रसि़द् मंदिर स्थित है बताया जाता है कि इस मंदिर का निर्माण एंव ब्रह्मा जी की मूर्ति की स्थापना आदि शंकराचार्य ने करवायी थी।
- बाद मे वर्तमान मंदिर का निर्माण गोकुलचंद्र पारीक ने 1809 विक्रमी मे करवाया
- पुष्कर झील के किनारे सावित्री मंदिर है जो कि रत्नागिरी की चोटी पर स्थित है, रंगनाथ जी का मंदिर जो कि दक्षिण भारतीय शैली मे निर्मित है इसके अलावा वराह मंदिर, आत्मेश्वर मंदिर एंव गायत्री मंदिर स्थित है।
- झील के निकट ही बूढा पुष्कर एंव कनिष्ठ पुष्कर नामक तीर्थस्थल स्थित है।
- पुष्कर झील के किनारे आमेर के राजा मानसिंह प्रथम द्वारा निर्मित मान महल स्थित है, जहाँ वर्तमान मे आर.टी.डी.सी द्वारा होटल सरोवर संचालित किया जा रहा है।
- पुष्कर मे प्रतिवर्ष कार्तिक शुक्ल एकादशी से पूर्णिमा तक पाँच दिवसीय विशाल मेला भरता है, क्योकि कार्तिक पुर्णिमा को पुष्कर सरोवर मे स्नान करने का विशेष धार्मिक महत्व है इस दौरान वहाँ विशाल पशु मेला भी आयोजित होता है।
- कनाडा के सहयोग से इस झील को गहरा व स्वच्छ रखने की योजना चल रही है।
Pushkar Lake :-
- Pushkar Lake is considered to be the most sacred lake in India on the Ajmer-Nagaur road in the northwest at a distance of 11 km from Ajmer.
- A total of 52 ghats are built on the banks of the lake, in which the largest is Mahatma Gandhi Ghat, which is also known as Gaughat.
- barmhaghat and Varahghat are also important, these Ghats were built in 944 AD by Naharrao Parihar, the ruler of Mandore.
- The Gaughat was rebuilt by Maratha chieftains in 1809 AD. It is said that the tenth Guru of the Sikhs, Gobind Singh, had recited the Guru Granth Sahib in 1705 AD.
- In the year 1911 AD, Queen Mary Janana Ghat was built on the banks of Pushkar in memory of the visit of Queen Mary of England.
- According to the verse Purana, Pushkar Sarovar was built by Prajapita Bahar.
- The only famous temple of barmhaji in India is situated on the banks of the lake. It is said that this temple was built and the idol of barmhaji was established by Adi Shankaracharya.
- Later the present temple was built by Gokulchandra Pareek in 1809 Vikrami.
- On the banks of the Pushkar Lake is the Savitri Temple, which is situated on the top of Ratnagiri, the temple of Ranganatha, which is built in the South Indian style, besides the Varaha Temple, Atmeshwar Temple and Gayatri Temple.
- Near the lake are situated pilgrimage centers named Budha Pushkar and Junior Pushkar.
- Man Mahal built by Raja Man Singh I of Amer is situated on the banks of Pushkar Lake, where Hotel Sarovar is currently being operated by RTDC.
- Every year from Kartik Shukla Ekadashi to Purnima in Pushkar, a five-day huge fair is filled, because bathing in Pushkar Sarovar on Kartik Poornima has special religious significance, during which a huge cattle fair is also organized there.
- Plans are underway to keep this lake deep and clean with the help of Canada.
