  चंबल घाटी परियोजना :-

यह परियोजना राजस्थान तथा मध्यप्रदेंश की समान भागीदारी (50ः50) वाली परियोजना है इस परियोजना का निर्माण वर्ष 1953-54 मे प्रांरभ हो गया था।

चंबल घाटी  परियोजना पर चार बाँध स्थित है-

1. गाँधी सागर बाँध :- यह बाँध मध्यप्रदेश मंदसौर मे स्थित है चंबल घाटी परियोजना के प्रथम चरण मे 1959 ईस्वी मे बनाया गया परियोजना का सबसे बडा बाँध है जिसकी विधुत उत्पादन क्षमता 115 मेघावाट है।
2. राणा प्रताप सागर बाँध :- यह बाँध राजस्थान के चित्तौड़गढ़ जिले में स्थित है यह परियोजना के दूसरे चरण मे चंबल नदी पर बनाया गया राजस्थान का सबसे बडा बाँध है जिसकी विधुत उत्पादन क्षमता 172 मेघावाट है।
3. जवाहर सागर बाँधः- यह बाँध राजस्थान के कोटा जिले मे स्थित है यह परियोजना के तीसरे चरण मे निर्मित बाँध है जिसे 1972 मे बनाया गया जिसकी विधुत उत्पादन क्षमता 99 मेगावाट है।
4. कोटा बैराज बाँध :- यह बाँध चंबल घाटी परियोजना के प्रथम चरण मे निर्मित सिंचाई बाँध है जिसे 1960 मे निर्मित किया गया इस बाँध से विधुत का उत्पादन नही किया जाता है क्योकि इस बाँध का उपयोग केवल सिंचाई मे ही किया जाता है ।

इस परियोजना के तहत 4.5 लाख हेक्टेयर भूमि पर सिंचाई की जाती है जबकि कूल 386 मेगावाट विधुत उत्पादन किया जाता है।

चंबल परियोजना से राजस्थान मे सिंचाई कोटा, बुँदी एंव बारा जिलो मे होती है।

चंबल परियोजना के तहत सिंचाई करने हेतु कोटा बैराज से दो प्रमुख नहरे निकाली गयी है।

बायीं मुख्य नहर :- इसकी लंबाई 259 किमी है इस नहर से लाडपुरा (कोटा), केशवरायपाटन, बूँदी एंव इंन्द्रगढ (बूँदी) तहसीलो मे सिंचाई की सुविधा प्राप्त है।

दायीं मुख्य नहर :- इस नहर की लंबाई 124 किमी है इस नहर से दीगोद, पीपलदा, लाडपुरा, अन्ता, माँगरोल (बाराँ) तहसीलो में सिंचाई की जाती है इस नहर मे मध्यप्रदेश मे भी सिंचाई की जाती है।

चंबल की दायीं मुख्य नहर से कुल आठ लिप्ट नहरें निकाली गयी है-

1. जालीपुरा लिप्ट नहर, कोटा
2. दीगोद लिप्ट नहर, कोटा
3. अंता लिप्ट नहर, बाँरा
4. अंता माइनर लिप्ट नहर, बाँरा
5. पचेंल लिप्ट नहर, बाराँ
6. गणेशगंज लिप्ट नहर, बाराँ
7. सोरखंड लिप्ट नहर, बाराँ
8. कचारी लिप्ट नहर, बाराँ

Chambal Valley Project :-

This project is a project of equal participation (50:50) of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, the construction of this project was started in the year 1953-54.

Four dams are located on Chambal Valley Project-

1. Gandhi Sagar Dam:- This dam is located in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh, in the first phase of the Chambal Valley project, built in 1959 AD, is the largest dam of the project, which has a power generation capacity of 115 MW.
2. Rana Pratap Sagar Dam: - This dam is located in Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan, it is the largest dam in Rajasthan built on Chambal river in the second phase of the project, which has a power generation capacity of 172 MGWatts.
3. Jawahar Sagar Dam:- This dam is located in Kota district of Rajasthan, it is a dam built in the third phase of the project, which was built in 1972, which has 99 MW of electricity generation capacity.
4. Kota Barrage Dam: - This dam is an irrigation dam constructed in the first phase of Chambal Valley Project, which was built in 1960. Electricity is not produced from this dam because this dam is used only for irrigation.

Under this project, 4.5 lakh hectares of land is irrigated while a total of 386 MW of electricity is generated.

Irrigation is done in Kota, Bundi and Baara districts of Rajasthan through Chambal project.

Two major canals have been taken out from Kota barrage for irrigation under Chambal project.

Left main canal: - Its length is 259 km. This canal provides irrigation facilities in Ladpura (Kota), Keshavaraipatan, Bundi and Indragarh (Bundi) tehsils.

Right Main Canal: - The length of this canal is 124 km. Irrigation is done from this canal in Digod, Pipalda, Ladpura, Anta, Mangrol (Baran) tehsils.

A total of eight lipped canals have been taken out from the right main canal of Chambal-

1. Jalipura Lipt Canal, Kota
2. Digod Lipt Canal, Kota
3. Anta Lipt Canal, Barra
4. Anta Minor Lipt Canal, Barra
5. Pachel Lipt Canal, Baran
6. Ganeshganj Lipt Canal, Baran
7. Sorkhand Lipt Canal, Baran
8. Kachari Lipt Canal, Baran
