यमुना जल सिंचाई परियोजनाः-
- इस परियोजना से राजस्थान राज्य के निम्न जिले भरतपुर, झुँझनु, चुरू लाभन्वित है
- यह योजना सिंचाई तथा पेयजल से संबंधित है
- इस परियोजना से भरतपुर जिले मे स्थित अजान बाँध, केवलादेव राष्टीय उद्यान, डीग के तालाबो को जल की आपूर्ति होगी
- भरतपुर तथा चुरू, झुँझनु जिलो के लिए अन्य कार्य भी निर्माणधीन चल रहे है
- भरतपुर जिले हेतु ओखला हैडक्वार्ट्स (हरियाणा राज्य) से नहर का कार्य चल रहा है जबकि चुरू , झुँझनु जिलो हेतु ताजे वाला हैडक्वार्ट्स (हरियाणा राज्य) से पश्चिमी यमुना नहर, जवाहर लाल नेहरू नहर एंव लुहारू नहर का कार्य चल रहा है।
- पश्चिमी यमुना से सन् 1964 ईस्वी मे एक नहर निकाली गयी जिससे भरतपुर जिले की 11,000 हेक्टेयर क्षेत्र मे सिंचाई की जाती है तथा इस नहर को भरतपुर नहर के नाम से जाना जाता है।
- यमुना नदी के ओखला हैडक्वार्टस से 1985 मे यमुना लिंक नहर निकाली जिसे गुडगाँव नहर भी कहते है यह नहर भरतपुर जिले की कामाँ व डीग तहसीलो की 33,959 हेक्टेयर क्षेत्र सिंचित करती है।
- राजस्थान को यमुना जल के कुल आंवटन का 70 प्रतिशत उपयोग इसी नहर के द्वारा किया जाता है।
- वर्तमान मे गुडगाँव नहर को यमुना जल सिंचाई परियोजना से जोडा जा चुका है।
Yamuna Water Irrigation Project:-
- The following districts of Rajasthan state Bharatpur, Jhunjhunu, Churu are benefited from this project.
- This scheme is related to irrigation and drinking water.
- This project will supply water to Ajan Dam, Keoladeo National Park, Deeg ponds located in Bharatpur district.
- Other works are also under construction for Bharatpur and Churu, Jhunjhunu districts.
- For Bharatpur district canal work is going on from Okhla Headquarters (Haryana State) while for Churu, Jhunjhunu districts, work is going on from Taje Wala Headquarters (Haryana State) to Western Yamuna Canal, Jawaharlal Nehru Canal and Luharu Canal.
- In the year 1964, a canal was taken out from the Western Yamuna, which irrigates 11,000 hectares of Bharatpur district and this canal is known as Bharatpur Canal.
- In 1985, Yamuna Link Canal, also known as Gurgaon Canal, was taken out from Okhla Headquarters of Yamuna River, this canal irrigates 33,959 hectares of Kaman and Deeg tehsils of Bharatpur district.
- 70 percent of the total allocation of Yamuna water to Rajasthan is used through this canal.
- Presently Gurgaon canal has been connected with Yamuna Water Irrigation Project.
